How To Get In Shape For Bikini Season

Worried about how you might look at the beach. Summer’s coming. With it comes beach season, swimsuits and bikinis. Not an appealing thought if you’ve gained weight through the colder seasons.

How would you like to look lean in a swimsuit for a change. Wouldn’t it nice to have beautiful skin all over?

Health and beauty go hand in hand. If you take care of your body, you would look great even in a swimsuit. That requires discipline. Probably an entire change in your lifestyle. But it is worth it. Here’s how you can reclaim the body that is your birthright.

1. Eat a healthy diet. For get about diet as in depriving yourself of food. Think of it as a change in your lifestyle. A revamp if you will. Throw out the chocolates, crisps, TV dinners, canned food, creams, ice cream, mousse, cakes,candy and salted stuff. Replace them with fresh fruits, raw vegetables, fresh meats especially fish and chicken without the skin. Snack on nuts if you must. B

2. Watch your drinks Alcohol is metabolized by your body in the same way fat is. Heard of the beer belly? You can do without it. Canned drinks and soft drinks, cokes, sodas and all sweet drinks are loaded with sugar and plenty of calories. Forgo all those. Drink plain water. If water is to flat for your liking, flavour a huge jug of plain water with the juice if a freshly squeezed lemon. Aim to drink 8 to 10 large glasses of water everyday.

3. Exercise Make it a point to exercise every morning. Go for a ride on a bike before work. Go for a run. Skip rope. Whatever you do, make it a habit to exercise for at least 30 minutes every morning.

4.Sleep. They don’t call it beauty sleep for nothing. That is when your body repairs itself so if you want glowing skin and healthy hair and bright eyes, go to bed by ten every night.

5. Exfoliate and moisturize. Not just your face. When you shower, use a body scrub to slough off the old rough skin on your body, concentrating on your heels and elbows. After your shower, towel dry and moisturize with a good moisturizer.
