I Hate Exercise

How can I lose weight if I hate exercise? This is a question that a lot of people tell me when they first begin a weight loss program; they want to shed the weight but they do not want to do what it takes to lose the weight. They say they are willing to eat properly but they do not have the time for exercise. So how can one go from the belief of “I hate exercise to beginning a regular cardiovascular program on a daily basis?

No matter how much you hate exercise you do it on a daily basis; however most of us do not do enough of it to actually make an positive impact on our lives.

So what steps can you begin taking to increase your exercise; if you follow these steps chances are you will be able to increase your exercise routine everyday into your life:

1. Park Further Away From The Stores: When you go to the grocery store, or any other store do not drive around looking for the closest possible parking spot. Many people will actually drive around for ten min

utes or more just to find a close parking spot. However if you begin parking further away from the store you can actually increase your walking per day by about 20 minutes.

2. Walk The Dogs: Even if you have a fenced in back yard; if you take the dogs for a 10-15 minute walk everyday then you will get more exercise.

3. Walk To The Mailbox: Do not check your mailbox by driving up to the mailbox; park your car in the driveway and then walk and check your mailbox.

4. Do Pushups When You Wake Up: When you first get out of bed take the time to stretch and do some pushups. This will actually make you feel better and you may even want to take a walk.

5. Play With The Children: We all know that children have a ton of energy; spend some time playing with them. You will eventually realize that you are having a great time and you will not even know that you are exercising.

There are several other ways you can add exercise into your life even though you hate exercise. You just have to get creative with it. We all know the benefits of actually spending at least 30 minutes a day exercising; so before you totally cut it out of your life take the time to notice how it affects your life both positively and negatively. You will realize that the negative affects that your body can incur without proper exercise in your life is much worse than spending some time exercising.

We have all been given our body and you only have one. Why not learn how to take care of it so it can take care of you. Your body was meant to fight off all kinds of diseases and sicknesses; however if you are not feeding it correctly and giving it the proper amount of exercise it will not function the way it was meant to.
