What NOT to do when strength training. Weight Loss Womens Fitness

With all of the information out there on strength training it is easy to become confused. I have compiled a list of things not to do, to keep you out of the path of danger. Follow these simple rules and you will be on your way to success.

Dont: 1. Dont get in a workout rut. If you do the same thing week after week month after month, your body will get used to the workout and it will not be as challenging as it used to be. This will lead to less results. Doing the same thing day after day will also allow you to become mentally bored. Vary your workout so that you keep yourself on your toes both physically and mentally.

2.Dont go crazy with supplements. Supplements are a great addition to support in nutrients you might not be getting enough of. They also can give you a boost when you are really tired. However they are no substitute for food. Make sure that you get as many nutrients as you can from t

he food you eat. Plan meals that make the most of the foods in season and use supplements to pick up any slack.

3. Dont ignore your body. It is really important to get to know your body. There is a difference between not wanting to finish a workout and not being able to because of injury. If you are feeling blah and dont want to finish your workout then it is alright to push yourself through that. If you are hurting, then listen to your body, if it is telling you to stop, then stop. Take care of the injury right away and focus on other muscle groups until your injury is healed and you are ready to go again.

4. Dont believe what you read. If it sounds to good to be true, then it usually is. No one is capable of doing 200 curls with the max weight. First of all he is exaggerating, second, who cares what someone else is doing? Do what you need to do to reach your goals.

5. Dont get into the comparison game. Every body is different and the one you need to worry about is yours. Comparing can become dangerous, it can cause you to risk injury just to keep up with the person next to you. Listen to your body and do what you know is right for you. It will pay off big-time in the long run.

Remember always to keep your attitude positive and keep it up. Results dont happen overnight, keep at it and celebrate the little successes that come along the way.
